Ordering from Prime and Preferred Suppliers

The University seeks to maximize collaborative partnerships with suppliers by establishing Prime and Preferred suppliers to provide commonly used goods and services across campuses. Creating and maintaining a number of contracts with suppliers from various market segments for use by the University community, these contracts have been negotiated to encompass the University's purchasing power, and to ensure that the products or services purchased represent the "best value" for the University of Illinois. Best value takes into consideration a number of factors, such as the cost of the item, delivery, extended or expanded warranties, before and after market support, training, upgrades, exchanges and return policies. These University-wide contracts provide consistent pricing and contractual terms for the campuses.
